Arms Recovered from home of Boko Haram chief’ september 3 2012

The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno State Nigeria yesterday said that it recovered large cache of arms and Improvised Explosives Device (IED’s) at the residence of a wanted suspected commander of Boko Haram sect in Bulumkutu area of Maiduguri in Nigeria. Spokesman of the task force Lt. Sagir Musa in a statement to newsmen said “the Joint Task Force Operation Restore Order has conducted a follow up operation in the residence of a wanted key commander of Boko Haram terrorists in Bulunkutu-Lawanti area in Maiduguri metropolis”. According to him, following the operation which was carried out at the early hours of yesterday a large cache of weapons which include 3AK 47 Riffles, 306 x 7.62 mm Special Ammunition, 39 Primed Improvised Explosives Device (IED) Cans and six empty Magazines were found. Other items recovered, according to him, include one HP laptop computer containing instruction on preparation of IED and chemical weapons, a notebook register containing names of Boko Haram members indicating those already dead and 54 assorted SIMS cards.
