Boko Haram:GSM providers threaten to leave the North

The major GSM providers in Nigeria-MTN, Airtel, GLO mobile and Etisalat have threatened to leave the Northern part of the country after attacks on their base stations which have made them to lose up to #1.03 billion. The umbrella body of the telecoms operators, the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria(ALTON), on Thursday that it has become too dangerous to operate in the northern region of Nigeria. The major GSM providers – MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat are all members of ALTON. Boko haram boko haram boko haram.
